Common FAQs

Do you offer professional liability?

  • We do not offer Errors & Omissions at Pathpoint. Completed operations for beauty/barber/nail are available within the general liability limits, covering bodily injury or property claims caused by the insured's work.

Do you offer Loss of Income coverage?

  • Yes, we offer loss of income or business interruption with any property or package quote.

How are beauty/barber/nail professionals rated?

  • Beauty, barber, and nail salons are rated by gross sales and number of chairs.

Do you accept microblading or microdermabrasion?

  • We do not accept beauty, barber, or nail classes. Microblading and microdermabrasion fall under the medical spa classification.

What does incidental 'facials, make-up, massage, waxing, and tanning services' mean?

  • Beauty, barber, and nail services can be offered with minor make-up, massage, or tanning services. Essentially, if these services are provided as add-ons, separate rooms or facilities are not necessary. Please note that these submissions will lead to a referral.

Are Independent operators renting booths or chairs are considered named insureds under the policy?

  • Typically, it is presumed that stylists or technicians may rent chairs and booths, thereby operating as independent contractors who require insurance coverage. Our policy does provide coverage for these individuals.

What are your liability deductibles?

  • Deductibles for general liability typically range from $250 to $1,000 by default, but they can be adjusted upon review before binding.

What is the maximum of sales you accept?

  • There is no max on revenue for beauty/barber/nail salons.

Can you write mobile salons?

  • Due to the auto exposure, we would not be a market for mobile salons.

What do you include for business personal property?

  • We can offer up to $250k of business personal property per building for any property or package quotes. This includes salon equipment, fixtures, furniture, inventory, supplies, and promotional items.
