Common FAQs

Do you offer liquor liability coverage for bars, restaurants, and taverns?

  • We do not offer liquor liability at this time.

What is a hold harmless agreement?

  • A hold harmless agreement is a legal contract between two parties where one party agrees not to hold the other party liable for any damages, losses, or liabilities that may arise from a particular activity, transaction, or situation. These agreements are also common in construction contracts, leases, and other business transactions where there's a potential for accidents or other unforeseen circumstances. They help protect one party from being held legally responsible for damages or injuries that may occur during the course of the agreed-upon activity.

What type of bar or tavern exposures lead to a declination?

  • Declined exposures include, but are not restricted to: nightclubs, gentleman's clubs, discotheques, lounges, cabarets (including host/hostess bars), exotic dancing or strip clubs, and other comparable venues. Additionally, activities such as riding mechanical bulls, participating in wet t-shirt contests or mud wrestling, engaging in tough man competitions, entering mosh pits, stage diving, body surfing, or utilizing playrooms and playgrounds are also excluded. Furthermore, drinking contests, 'rage in the cage' events, pub/bar crawls or tours, pub cabs/cycle pubs, viewing pyrotechnics or fireworks, and employing specialty lighting or special effects fall within the scope of declined exposures.
