Pathpoint offers insurance coverage for the 99969 Welding or Cutting class code through three AM Best A-rated carriers: Baleen Specialty, Markel, and Nautilus. Below are our specific eligibility criteria and a series of questions to help determine your qualifications for this coverage.

Welding Ineligibility by Carrier

  • Markel: Excludes AK, CO, HI, and NYC's five boroughs (the rest of the NY state is accepted).

  • Nautilus: Excludes AK, CO, and HI.

  • Baleen: Excludes AK, HI, NY, and WV.

Ineligible Types of Work

  • Locations and Environments

    • Offshore work, oil & gas sites, nuclear plants, refineries, chemical/petrochemical plants, wood processing facilities, sawmills, and underwater or over-the-hole operations.

  • Structures and Equipment

    • Grain bins/elevators, railroads, and work involving explosives.

    • High-risk structures: amusement rides, boats, bridges, catwalks, cranes, logging/mining equipment, pressurized vessels, scaffolding, towers, trailers, and similar equipment.
