Does Pathpoint work with premium finance companies?
Edited

For agencies using PathPay Agency, Pathpoint will accept payment from premium finance companies in place of payment from an agency. Please be aware that payment must be made through our payment platform, Ascend. Pathpoint does not accept mailed checks.

Ascend only accepts one payment in full, so the agency will need to coordinate with their finance company. The agent can collect the down payment from the Insured and the remainder of the premium from the finance company, then make payment to Pathpoint of the premium net commission.

The agency is responsible for ensuring Pathpoint receives the full invoiced amount and may need to provide a down payment separately from the premium finance company.

Payments are due within 30 days of the effective date. However, a Notice of Cancellation will be mailed to the insured and emailed to the agent if payment is not received within 20 days of the effective date.

Pathpoint does not currently work with any premium finance companies directly. It is the agency’s sole responsibility to ensure timely payment.

If you are using PathPay Insured, the only Premium Finance option supported currently is the option provided by Ascend. The Insured will have the option to choose to pay in full or in installments at check out.
