What is Pathpoint's appetite for cannabis property exposures?
The building must be used for the purpose of legal marijuana distribution/retail (a dispensary). Any illegal states for cannabis operations are immediately knocked out.
For property coverage, Pathpoint will only write legal dispensaries. Growing, extraction and manufacturing properties are not eligible.
Customer areas of legal dispensaries must be kept clean of clutter and debris.
Operations where cannabis consumption is allowed on the premises may quote, but must first be referred to an underwriter.
The individual running the cannabis operations in the building must be appropriately licensed according to state law.
The building must be in good condition.
The building’s owner must not be involved with any cannabis operations, or have any financial stake in that industry.
