What types of submissions will lead to an instant-quote for cannabis, CBD or related applicants?

  • Cannabis property exposures:

    • The building must be used for the purpose of legal marijuana distribution/retail (a dispensary). Any illegal states for cannabis operations are immediately knocked out.

    • For property coverage, Pathpoint will only write legal dispensaries. Growing, extraction and manufacturing properties are not eligible.

    • Customer areas of legal dispensaries must be kept clean of clutter and debris.

    • Operations where cannabis consumption is allowed on the premises may quote, but must first be referred to an underwriter.

    • The individual running the cannabis operations in the building must be appropriately licensed according to state law.

    • The building must be in good condition.

    • The building’s owner must not be involved with any cannabis operations, or have any financial stake in that industry.

  • Cannabis LRO tenants:

    • For LRO GL, the following operations of a cannabis tenant are quotable in Pathpoint:

      • Dispensary or general retail

        • Legal dispensary operations within a legal state according to law (both recreational and medicinal cannabis apply here).

        • Customer areas of legal dispensaries must be kept clean of clutter and debris.

        • Operations where cannabis consumption is allowed on the premises may quote, but must first be referred to an underwriter.

        • The tenant running the cannabis operations in the building must be appropriately licensed according to state law.

        • The building must be in good condition.

      • Manufacturing

        • All manufacturing operations must be in a legal state according to law.

        • Tenants must ensure that the building’s electric, water, fire safety and climate control systems are adapted to meet the resource needs of the tenant's operations.

      • Growing will refer, but is quotable post-UW review depending on other answered questions in the submission.

        • Growing tenants must ensure that operation areas are kept clear of clutter and debris.

        • Growing tenants must ensure that all flammable materials are stored away from ignition sources.
