How to Quote Larger Accounts
Overview
Middle Market-Brokerage allows you to submit and place larger, more complex E&S accounts that don’t qualify for small binding authority or instant quotes for contractors and lessor’s risk accounts.

Submit in the Portal
Login to your Pathpoint account.
Select a vertical, lines of business, and class description.
Complete the application and look for a blue message to appear at the top-left corner indicating the account is Middle Market eligible.
Agent Note: This is our Middle Market-Brokerage capability.
Upload supporting documentation (see our Checklist).
Select Submit to Middle Market Underwriter Review.
Once submitted, our underwriting team will review your account and forward it to the appropriate carriers.

What Happens Next
Acknowledgment: You’ll receive a confirmation email once your submission is received.
Review: An underwriter checks the submission for completeness. If anything is missing, they’ll reach out. See our Middle Market-Brokerage Checklist for commonly requested items.
Response Time: The typical turnaround is a couple of business days, depending on the submission. Larger or more complex accounts can take longer.

Yes. Middle Market-Brokerage is built to handle larger and more complex property risks.
What documents are required for quotes from Middle Market-Brokerage?
Key items include complete applications, submitted via an app, loss runs, expiring or target premiums, statements of values, and clear notes on special risk factors.
How long until I hear from underwriting?
You'll receive confirmation right away. Quotes are generally returned within a few business days, but this may take longer.
Can new agents submit to Brokerage?
Yes. All Pathpoint agents, including new ones, can submit accounts to Middle Market-Brokerage. The process is the same as Small Business submissions, but qualifying accounts are routed for specialized underwriting review instead of instant quoting.
Who should I contact if my submission is stalled?
If your file isn’t moving or you need status updates, the first point of contact is always your Account Manager. They can assist with stalled submissions and help escalate where needed.
